Residence In-Room Guide 2016-17

Upper Years
Live in Residence after First Year!
As an upper-year student, you can live in residence after first year! We also welcometransfer, professional, and graduate students.
Living in residence provides the comfort, convenience, independence, security, and opportunities for involvement you need to help you achieve your academic goals.
As an experienced student, you already have a good understanding of what being at university is all about. Your choice to live in residence in your upper years will provide you with informal peer mentoring opportunities to share your expertise and acquired experience.
If you entered Western as a full-time first-year undergraduate student with an average of 90% or higher and are currently living in residence, you will be guaranteed residence for second year as long as your request is submitted by October 31.

Building Options
Alumni House and London Hall are two suite-style residences designed for upper-year student living. Living-Learning Communities are offered in London Hall, providing the option to live with other students in your faculty or program (e.g., Education Community, Graduate Student Community, Ivey Community, etc.).
Additionally, as an upper-year student, you are welcome to live in any other residence regardless if you are a Residence Soph or Staff Member. You will be guaranteed a single room to accommodate your needs.
