BUiD has longstanding reputation for promoting knowledge and practice of sustainability. In order to gain insight into global ideas on environmental matters academics from the Faculty of Engineering organized a trip to Scandinavia (Sweden, Norway & Denmark) for 17 of its students and a selected group of professionals from Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Masdar, ENOC, Society of Engineers and Abu Dhabi Farmers’ Service Centre. The Trip has been supported by The Al Maktoum Foundation, ENOC, Alkhaleej Sugar, Al Habtoor, and Alrostomani.

The trip, “Path to Sustainability”, is an opportunity to learn from international experiences in the field of sustainability, stimulate scientific and cultural knowledge, develop environmental awareness, and transfer knowledge of sustainability from theory to local practice, and propose green recommendations

BUiD will host a Green Forum for the participants to share their experience and learning, and discuss the feasibility of applying innovative green concepts in UAE.
