On February 16-17, the Sapienza Department of Statistical Sciences will host the first AIRO workshop on “Emerging Optimization Problems in Complex Networks.”
The two-day workshop aims to investigate operational research through seminars with young researchers from AIROYoung, the youth chapter of AIRO, the Italian Operational Research Society. Speakers will include prominent personalities in the field of network optimization, including Justo Puerto (University of Seville) and Maria Grazia Scutellà (University of Pisa).
The workshops have been organised as part of AIRO’s strategy of promoting collaboration between students and young researchers to provide useful opportunities for their careers and expand their Operational Research Network. Moreover, the workshop will also serve to match supply and demand on the market, both in academia and industry.
The event is sponsored by the Italian Operations Research Society and the Association of European Operational Research Societies.
Participation in the workshop is free.
