Senator Bernie Sanders at JHU: Tickets to Bernie Sanders event at Johns Hopkins to be made available online
Tickets to see U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders during his upcoming visit to Johns Hopkins University will be made available online on Sunday at 5 p.m. on a first-come, first-serve basis. Admission to the Nov. 17 event on the university's Homewood campus is free, but tickets are required.
Tickets can be secured by visiting the websites of the Milton S. Eisenhower Symposium and the Foreign Affairs Symposium, the two student organizations that are co-hosting the Sanders event. Members of the Johns Hopkins University community and general public are welcome.
Sanders, the former Democratic presidential candidate, will speak on Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. in the Shriver Hall auditorium, which has a seating capacity of about 1,000. Overflow seating and a livestream broadcast of the event will be available in Hodson Hall.
Sanders will speak for about 45 minutes, event organizers said, and his presentation will be followed by a Q&A session facilitated by JHU President Ronald J. Daniels. All attendees will receive a copy of Sanders' book, Our Revolution: A Future to Believe In, which is being released this month.
Doors open at 5 p.m. on the day of the event. Tickets will become void and the doors to Shriver Hall will close at 6:30 p.m.
